1. What Dots stores, and where

Everything you enter in Dots is stored on your device, in a container shared between the app, its widgets and the Apple Watch app.

None of this is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. Dots contains no analytics SDK and makes no network request of its own.

2. iCloud sync

Dots can keep your habits in step across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. When it is on, your data is written to the private database of your own iCloud account — the same place your other apps' iCloud data lives. The developer has no access to it, and it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Sync is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings ▸ iCloud Sync inside the app. Turning it off stops syncing; data already on the device is kept.

3. Widgets and the Apple Watch app

The home-screen widgets and the Apple Watch app show the same habits. The widgets read the shared on-device container directly. The watch never opens that store: the phone sends it a snapshot of your habits over Apple's device-to-device WatchConnectivity link, and the watch sends check-offs back the same way. Both stay between your own devices.

4. Purchases

Dots offers optional in-app purchases that remove the free habit limit. Purchases are processed entirely by the App Store.

1. The developer never receives or stores your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
2. The app reads the App Store's record of what your Apple Account owns, on your device, only to decide whether to remove the limit.
3. The app also reads the version of Dots your Apple Account first downloaded, so that people who installed Dots before it offered purchases keep it without a limit. This is a version number, not an identity.
4. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings, not by the developer.

5. When you email support

Settings ▸ Email support opens your mail app with a message prepared for you. It includes the app version, your device model, iOS version, app language and whether iCloud sync is on, so a report arrives with its context. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself, and you can edit or delete any of it first. Support mail is used only to answer you.

6. What Dots never accesses

Dots does not request or use your location, contacts, photo library, camera, microphone, health or fitness data, calendar, or advertising identifier. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it shows no ads.

7. Sharing

The developer holds none of your data, and therefore sells, rents and discloses none of it. The only parties involved are Apple's own services — iCloud for sync, if you leave it on, and the App Store for purchases — acting under Apple's own terms.

8. Keeping and deleting your data

1. Deleting a habit in the app deletes it and its history.
2. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
3. Data synced to iCloud is removed by deleting it in the app on a synced device, or through iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage.
4. Because the developer stores nothing, there is nothing to request from or delete at the developer's end.

9. Children

Dots is a general-audience app. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

제1조 저장되는 정보와 저장 위치

Dots에 입력한 내용은 앱과 위젯, Apple Watch 앱이 함께 쓰는 기기 내 저장소에 보관됩니다.

위 항목은 운영자나 제3자에게 전송되지 않습니다. Dots에는 분석 SDK가 없으며 앱이 자체적으로 발생시키는 네트워크 요청도 없습니다.

제2조 iCloud 동기화

Dots는 Apple의 CloudKit을 이용해 여러 기기에서 같은 기록을 볼 수 있게 합니다. 동기화가 켜져 있으면 데이터는 이용자 본인 iCloud 계정의 비공개 데이터베이스에 저장됩니다. 운영자는 접근할 수 없으며, 해당 저장에는 Apple 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.

동기화는 기본으로 켜져 있고, 앱의 설정 ▸ iCloud 동기화에서 언제든 끌 수 있습니다. 끄면 동기화가 중단되며 기기에 있는 데이터는 유지됩니다.

제3조 위젯과 Apple Watch 앱

홈 화면 위젯과 Apple Watch 앱은 같은 습관을 보여줍니다. 위젯은 기기 내 공유 저장소를 직접 읽습니다. 워치는 그 저장소를 열지 않으며, 아이폰이 Apple의 기기 간 통신(WatchConnectivity)으로 습관 요약을 보내고 워치가 같은 경로로 체크 기록을 돌려보냅니다. 모두 이용자 본인의 기기 사이에서만 오갑니다.

제4조 인앱 결제

Dots는 무료 습관 개수 제한을 해제하는 선택적 인앱 결제를 제공합니다. 결제는 전적으로 App Store가 처리합니다.

1. 운영자는 이용자의 결제카드 정보, 청구 주소, Apple 계정 인증 정보를 수신하거나 저장하지 않습니다.
2. 앱은 Apple 계정이 무엇을 보유하고 있는지에 대한 App Store의 기록을 기기 내에서 읽으며, 오직 제한 해제 여부를 판단하는 데만 사용합니다.
3. 앱은 해당 Apple 계정이 Dots를 처음 내려받은 버전 번호도 읽습니다. 인앱 결제 도입 이전에 설치한 이용자가 제한 없이 계속 쓸 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이며, 이는 신원 정보가 아니라 버전 번호입니다.
4. 구독의 확인과 해지는 Apple 계정 설정에서 이루어지며 운영자가 관여하지 않습니다.

제5조 문의 메일에 포함되는 정보

설정 ▸ 이메일 문의를 누르면 내용이 미리 채워진 메일 작성 화면이 열립니다. 여기에는 앱 버전, 기기 모델, iOS 버전, 앱 언어, iCloud 동기화 사용 여부가 포함되어 문의가 맥락과 함께 도착하도록 합니다. 이용자가 직접 보내기 전에는 아무것도 전송되지 않으며, 보내기 전에 내용을 수정하거나 지울 수 있습니다. 문의 메일은 답변 목적으로만 사용됩니다.

제6조 접근하지 않는 정보

Dots는 위치, 연락처, 사진 보관함, 카메라, 마이크, 건강ㆍ피트니스 데이터, 캘린더, 광고식별자를 요청하거나 사용하지 않습니다. 앱이나 웹사이트를 넘나드는 추적을 하지 않으며 광고를 표시하지 않습니다.

제7조 제3자 제공

운영자는 이용자의 데이터를 보유하지 않으므로 이를 판매ㆍ대여하거나 제공하는 일도 없습니다. 관여하는 것은 Apple의 자체 서비스뿐이며 — 동기화를 켜 둔 경우의 iCloud, 그리고 결제를 위한 App Store — 각각 Apple의 약관에 따릅니다.

제8조 보관과 삭제

1. 앱에서 습관을 삭제하면 그 습관과 기록이 함께 삭제됩니다.
2. 앱을 삭제하면 해당 기기에 저장된 데이터가 삭제됩니다.
3. iCloud에 동기화된 데이터는 동기화된 기기의 앱에서 삭제하거나, iOS 설정 ▸ 사용자 이름 ▸ iCloud ▸ 저장 공간 관리에서 삭제할 수 있습니다.
4. 운영자가 보관하는 데이터가 없으므로 운영자 측에 열람이나 삭제를 요청할 대상도 없습니다.

제9조 아동

Dots는 전체 이용가 앱입니다. 연령과 무관하게 어떠한 이용자의 정보도 수집하지 않습니다.
